QMHC staff sock it to stigma for Odd Socks Day

8 Oct 2014

Friday October 3, 2014

The Queensland Mental Health Commissioner and staff stepped out in odd socks on Friday 3 October to remind Queenslanders that anyone can have an odd day.

Odd Socks Day is the initiative of Grow, a community-based mental health organisation seeking to tackle the impact of stigma on the lives of people with mental illness and their families, friends and carers.

Stigma is still one of the greatest barriers to people seeking help and recovery. The way you treat a person does make a difference.

More information about Odd Socks day and Grow, can be found at Odd Socks Day.
