To improve community awareness, understanding and responses to depression, anxiety and suicide in Queensland we fund beyondblue to provide access to its resources, programs and activities
On behalf of the Queensland Government we support beyondblue with funding as part of a long standing commitment. In 2015-16 our funding totalled $645,000.
beyondblue’s resources, programs and activities are aimed at:
- reducing the impact of depression, anxiety and suicide by supporting people to protect their mental health and recover when they are unwell
- reducing people’s experience of stigma and discrimination
- improving people’s opportunities to get effective support and services at the right time.
Beyondblues services seek to improve community awareness, understanding and responses to depression, anxiety and suicide. Funding provides access to resources for Queensland.
Information from beyondblue indicates that during 2015-16 an increasing number of Queenslanders were accessing their websites, with over 1.2 million visits across all their websites (an increase of around 25 per cent from 2014-15).
