Our new Better Futures Grants Program will be open for applications from 1 November 2018.
We are offering grants of up to $200,000 (excluding GST) for innovative initiatives that improve the mental health and wellbeing, and social inclusion of Queenslanders with a lived experience of mental illness, problematic alcohol and other drug use, or those impacted by suicide.
It is well recognised that having a job and access to safe, secure and affordable accommodation are two of the most important factors in keeping people well. We’re seeking to fund initiatives that take an innovative approach to breaking down two of the barriers to social and economic participation for people with a lived experience—employment and housing.
Successful recipients will have up to two years to develop, implement and evaluate their initiative. The evaluation component will take on even greater importance than previously, as will the potential for the initiative to be sustained beyond the funding period.
How to apply
Applications open Thursday 1 November 2018. The grants application form, guidelines and budget summary will be available from our website on this date.
Applications will close at 3pm on Monday 31 December 2018.
