Why this matters
Trauma is prevalent - and it shapes how people experience government services, workplaces and systems. This includes our workforce, our stakeholders, and the communities we serve. Getting this right means creating systems that are safer, more inclusive, and better able to respond to people’s needs - while also supporting workforce wellbeing and capability building.
What this work will deliver
The Framework will provide practical guidance to help Queensland government agencies to:
- build a shared understanding and common language across of what are trauma informed approaches across government
- apply trauma informed approaches consistently across key organisational areas such as leadership and organisational culture, workforce wellbeing, and workforce capability building etc.
- support a long term shift to safe, inclusive and healing oriented systems This work is a key action under the Queensland Trauma Strategy 2024-2029.
Have your say (and support your teams to do the same)
We’re inviting all Queensland Government staff - across all roles and levels to contribute their perspectives. Input from across the workforce is essential to ensure the Framework is practical, relevant and works across all parts of government.
Survey details:
- Takes 20 - 30 minutes
- Open to all roles (frontline, policy, regulatory, corporate, leadership)
- Anonymous and voluntary
- Closes on 31 August 2026
