We are proud to announce the recipients of the Community AOD Primary Prevention Grants. These grants were established to support community-driven initiatives that prevent alcohol and other drug (AOD) harms and strengthen wellbeing across Queensland.
Round 2 allocated $300,000 to three organisations to deliver new primary prevention initiatives. The projects contribute to Queensland’s ongoing investment in community wellbeing and harm prevention by improving AOD literacy, reducing stigma and strengthening social connection across diverse communities.
The initiatives will be delivered across metropolitan, regional and remote Queensland. They align with Priority 1 of Achieving balance: The Queensland Alcohol and Other Drugs Plan 2022–2027, which focuses on prevention and early intervention to reduce risk factors and strengthen protective factors related to AOD harm.
