2026 Mental Health and Wellbeing Grants
Why it matters
Good mental health and wellbeing help people, families and communities to thrive.
Many of the factors that influence mental health, such as where people are born, grow, learn, work, live and age, sit outside the health system. Strenthening these everyday settings helps create healthier, more connected and resilient communities.
The grants support initiatives that:
- improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes
- strengthen local capacity and partnerships
- generate evidence and insights to inform future investment.
Funding available
Up to $1.9 million is available through the 2026 Mental Health and Wellbeing Grants.
Eligible organisations with an established presence in rural and remote Queensland can apply for grants of up to $300,000 to deliver community-led initiatives.
What can be funded
The grants support practical, community-led initiatives that strengthen mental health and wellbeing through:
- connected communities
- sustainable systems
- youth leadership
- evidence and impact.
Successful initatives will build on existing community strengths, partnerships and local knowledge to create lasting outcomes.
Project timeframe
Projects are expected to be completed by 30 September 2028 and support sustainable outcomes beyond the funding period.
