Help improve safety and quality of care in hospitals

5 Aug 2015

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care is developing a questionnaire to enable patients to have a say in improving quality and safety of care in hospitals all over Australia.

Health Consumers Queensland invites anyone who has stayed at least one night in hospital or attended a community-based health service during the last 6 months to share your experiences in a focus group. Your input is essential to making sure that the questionnaire is appropriate for the needs of communities outside of capital cities, and allows their voices to be heard.

Focus groups will be held in Townsville on 31 August 2015 and in Brisbane on 6 September 2015.

Townsville sessions will be held in a central location and are open to people from regional, rural and remote parts of Queensland. There is the capacity to teleconference into the sessions.

Light refreshments will be provided, and you will be reimbursed for your time and for your travel to the venue. Participants must be aged 18 or over.

Register your interest in participating by 19 August 2015 by emailing the Patient Experience Team at pex@safetyandquality.gov.au.
