New mental health legislation


The Queensland Parliament passed the Mental Health Act 2016 on 18 February 2016.

Queensland Health has information, guidelines and resources related to the new Mental Health Act.

Our submissions

During the review of the mental health legislation which commenced in 2013, the QMHC participated by making submissions to the Department of Health and Queensland Parliament and holding stakeholder forums throughout Queensland.
