Join the Queensland Mental Health Commission and a panel of experts as we discuss the findings of Australian Productivity Commission inquiry into mental health. The Productivity Commission report includes five core reform areas: prevention and early intervention; closing critical gaps in healthcare services; investment in services beyond health; getting people into work and helping them stay there; and care navigation, coordination, governance and funding.

Chaired by Queensland Mental Health Commissioner Ivan Frkovic, this free online and in-person event will focus on the findings of the report and its implications for Queenslanders.

The panel will be made up of:

Productivity Commissioner Stephen King

Productivity Commissioner Julie Abramson

National Mental Health Commission CEO Christine Morgan, who is the Prime Minister’s National Suicide Prevention Adviser

Productivity Commission Associate Commissioner Harvey Whiteford, University of Queensland Professor of Population Mental Health

The one-hour discussion will be followed by 30 minutes of questions from our online and in-person audience. In-person audience members are invited to join us for light refreshments on the Queensland Terrace after the event.
