Are you passionate about mental health?

Do you want to be a champion for people living with mental health and problematic substance use issues?

The Minister for Health and Ambulance Services is seeking applications for new members of the Queensland Mental Health and Drug Advisory Council.

Applications are invited from people representing a wide range of personal, professional and cultural backgrounds for the following Advisory Council vacancies:

  •  Council Chair (one position)
  • Council member (several positions).

People with diverse backgrounds including people with lived experience of mental illness and problematic substance use, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and those living in regional areas are encouraged to apply.

The Advisory Council provides advice to the Queensland Mental Health Commission to drive reform toward a more integrated, evidence-based, recovery-oriented mental health and other drug service system.

Council membership is by Ministerial appointment and the advertised positions are expected to commence in early 2022 for a period of up to three years.

Applications close at 11.59pm on Monday 8 November.
